3 DAYS WILDERNESS ESCAPE

This 80km sand dune is situated in a terrain of Uvurkhangai, Bulgan and Tuv Aimag, stretching west side of Mount Khugnu Khan from west of Mount Batkhaan. The main road separates the sand dune into two parts, Mongol Els on the south and Khugnu Tarnyn Els on the north. The sand is sodden under its surface; that allows shrubberies such as willow, elm and dogwood, grow in the area. There are many tourist camps around the sight. Elsen Tasarkhai is surrounded by Mount Khugnu Khan on the north and Mount Ikh Mongol on the south.

Day 3. Ulaanbaatar

Day 1. Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes. After meeting at the hotel in Ulaanbaatar, we will drive to the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, which is combination of beautiful landscape with sand dunes and mountains. We will have picnic lunch on the way and drive to the nomadic family ger. We will have an optional camel or horse riding. After dinner, we will hike around the sand dunes and experience the sunset with glass of champagne. Stay overnight in a ger.

Day 2. Khustai & Terelj National Park. After breakfast, we will drive to the Khustai National Park. The park lies in the southern range of Khentii mountain and it is the place you can see wild horse called Takhi known as Przewalski horse. The wild horses survive in nature by themselves as a result of successful reintroducing projects after 40 years of extinction. Currently, the number of Takhi has already reached more than 240. Lunch at the park and drive to the Terelj National Park. The park lies at 1600 meters high and offers great opportunities for hiking, horse, camel and yak riding and rafting and rock climbing. The park is over 1.2 million acres large. Explore amazing egg-shaped granite rock formation and beautiful wildlife and Alpine flowers. Visit Turtle Rock and Aryabal Meditation Monastery in the mountain. Overnight at the ger camp.

Day 3. Ulaanbaatar. After breakfast at the camp, we will experience horse riding for a half day. After lunch at the park and we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar via 40m high equestrian Statue of Genghis Khaan. We will drop you at your hotel in Ulaanbaatar.
