The Gun-Galuut Reserve, 130km south-east and around 2-3 hours drive from Ulaanbaatar, lies on the banks of the River Kherlen. Gun-Galuut is one of the most popular nature reserves of Mongolia. The Reserve is truly the marvelous combination of high mountains, colorful flowers, pretty lakes, rivers and wetlands with its famous rare species. The place is rich in activities observing endangered species, rafting and fishing in the lakes and rivers, camping in a beautiful and peaceful nature, visiting nomadic family and riding horse.

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel and start city tour in Ulaanbaatar, the nation’s capital, visit Chinggis square, Zaisan Hill; Museum of National History, famous for its exhibition for Stone and Bronze Age, Turkic and Mongol Empire, rise of Buddhism and communist regime. Traditional cultural performance with traditional folk songs, throat singing, beautiful melody of horse-headed fiddle, ethnic dances and arty contortion. Overnight and relax in the hotel.
Day 2. Hustai National Park. Drive to the Hustai National Park. The park lies in the southern range of Khentii mountain and it is the place you can see wild horse called Takhi known as Przewalski horse. The wild horses survive in nature by themselves as a result of successful reintroducing projects after 40 years of extinction. Currently, the number of Takhi has already reached more than 240. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar-the nations’ capital. Overnight and relax in the ger camp
Day 3. Terelj National Park. Drive to the Terelj National Park after breakfast. The park lies at 1600 meters high and offers great opportunities for hiking, horse, camel and yak riding and rafting and rock climbing. The park is over 1.2 million acres large. Explore amazing egg-shaped granite rock formation and beautiful wildlife and Alpine flowers. Visit Turtle Rock and Aryabal Meditation Monastery in the mountain. Overnight at the ger camp. Day 4. Gun Galuutai Natural Reserve. Drive to the Gun-Galuut, 130km east-southeast of Ulaanbaatar. The park offers ecosystem diversity of high mountains, steppes, rivers, lakes and wetlands. Baits and Berkh Mountain is a home land of rare creatures Argali Sheeps, Ikh-Gun and Ayaga lakes - a paradise of birds, Kherlen - the longest river of Mongolia. Hiking in the Mountain and visit local nomadic family. Overnight at the ger camp.
Day 5. Gun Galuutai Natural Reserve. Today is a day to ride Mongolian horses. Full day horse riding in the valley of Baits & Berkh Mountain. If you are lucky, wolves and argali sheep are seen in the mountain. Overnight at the ger camp.
Day 6. Ulaanbaatar. We will visit Gandan Monastery a centre of Mongolian Buddhism. We will see the outstanding 24m golden plated statue of Buddha; Megjid Janraiseg. This monastery is the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. In the afternoon, we will visit Choijin Lama Museum. This monastery was built in 1908 for the Choijin Lama Luvsankhaidav, the state oracle and younger brother of the eighth Bogd Gegeen. The temple is now a museum preserving the elaborately decorated interiors and containing a rich collection of other Mongolian Buddhist sculpture and painting. Rest of the afternoon is free for personal activity. Overnight and relax in the hotel.
Day 7. Departure. Breakfast at the hotel. Our travel in Mongolia ends here by transferring to the airport.
