Mongolia’s climate can be described has highly continental climate with warm summers and long, dry and very cold winters. Known as "the land of blue sky", Mongolia is a very sunny country and has usually about 250 sunny days a year. Average temperature in most of the country is below zero from November to March and close to it in April and October. Winter nights of -40°C are common most years (minimum recorded -55°C at lake Uvs). Summer extremes reach as high as +40°C in the Gobi Desert and +33°C in the capital Ulaanbaatar. Monthly temperature variations of +45°C and more are not uncommon in many regions of Mongolia.

Day 1. Capital - Ulaanbaatar. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel and start city tour in Ulaanbaatar, the nation’s capital, visit Sukhbaatar square, Zaisan Hill; Museum of National History, famous for its exhibition for Stone and Bronze Age, Turkic and Mongol Empire, rise of Buddhism and communist regime, Gandan Monastery a centre of Mongolian Buddhism. Overnight and relax in the hotel.

Day 2. Terelj National Park. After breakfast, we will drive to the Terelj National Park. The park lies at 1600 meters high and offers great opportunities for hiking, horse, camel and yak riding and rafting and rock climbing. The park is over 1.2 million acres large. Explore amazing egg-shaped granite rock formation and beautiful wildlife and Alpine flowers. Visit Turtle Rock and Aryabal Meditation Monastery in the mountain. We will visit nomadic family in the park. Opportunities for taking photo and riding horses. Overnight at 5 star Terelj hotel.

Day 3. Statue of Genghis Khaan. After breakfast, we will drive to the statue of Genghis Khaan. In 2008, a gigantic statue of Genghis Khan riding on horseback was erected on the bank of the Tuul River at Tsonjin Boldog, 54 km east of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, where according to legend, he found a golden whip. The statue is 40 meters tall and wrapped in 250 tons of gleaming stainless steel. It stands on top of the Genghis Khan Statue Complex, a visitor center that itself is 10 meters tall, with 36 columns representing the 36 khans from Genghis to Ligdan Khan. The statue is symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace. Visit local museum at the statue and lunch there. Drive back to the Terelj national park. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4. Ulaanbaatar. We wil drive back to Ulaanbaatar and visit Choijin Lama Museum. This monastery was built in 1908 for the Choijin Lama Luvsankhaidav, the state oracle and younger brother of the eighth Bogd Gegeen. The temple is now a museum preserving the elaborately decorated interiors and containing a rich collection of other Mongolian Buddhist sculpture and painting. Rest of the afternoon is free for personal activity. In the evening, optional for classic ballet or opera at the National Opera Theatre in Ulaanbaatar. Overnight and relax in the hotel.

Day 5. Departure. Breakfast at the hotel. Our travel in Mongolia ends here by transferring to the airport.
