Temporary Exemption from Visa Requirements for Citizens of Some Countries to Visit Mongolia<\/b><\/center>
\nIn connection with the decision of the Government of Mongolia to declare 2023-2025 as the \u201cYears to visit Mongolia\u201d, the Cabinet has made a decision to temporarily exempt from visa requirements for the nationals of the following 34 countries, who are traveling to Mongolia for tourism purposes. This includes 32 developed European countries, Australia, and New Zealand, which lead the number of tourists visiting Mongolia.
\ufeff<\/span>
\nThe decision, aimed to attract foreign tourists and facilitate travel conditions, was made at the meeting of the Cabinet on 4th of January 2023 and will be effective until the end of 2025.
\nBy exempting the citizens of the above 34 countries from visa requirements, it will give a clear impetus to the development of the tourism sector, the recovery of the economy, and the continuation of the dialogue to facilitate the travel conditions of the Mongolian nationals. \ufeff<\/span>

\nWith the approval of this decision, the number of visa-free travel countries to Mongolia will be increased by thirty-four to sixty-one.

\ufeff<\/span>\ufeff<\/span>Generally, all visitors to Mongolia are required to get a visa. However, because of bilateral agreements made with some countries, this is not always the case. Visas are available from the Mongolian embassy in your country. If there is no Mongolian embassy in your country, it is available to obtain your visa at your arrival in the Chinggis Khaan international airport and at the border passes of Zamiyn \u2013 Uud from China and Altanbulag from Russia. We will issue an official confirmation letter (by email or post) for Mongolian Embassies and Consulates abroad have the rights to issue Mongolian visas to foreign citizens. For all types of visa application, you will need:<\/p>\n

Holders of a confirmation of a pre-arranged visa can obtain a single entry visa on arrival, at Ulaanbaatar airport, provided their passport is valid for at least one year on arrival, arriving from a country without diplomatic representation of Mongolia and that sponsor in Mongolia submits request to the Mongolian Immigration Authority.<\/p>\n
